On October 28, 2021, FC4SL’s Executive Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Etaderhi, participated in the Grand Finale of the Climate Launchpad held in the Netherlands. Climate Launchpad is the global green business ideas competition. It’s mission is to unlock the world’s cleantech potential that addresses climate change. The competition creates a stage for those ideas and each year the Global Grand Final presents the world’s crème de la crème of green start-ups. The event was hosted online to ensure that it is accessible to all and unconstrained by time, space, travel or CO₂.
The top-3 winning ideas in this year’s edition were SMD Power Solutions, India; Entomo Farms, Zambia and Qaptis, Switzerland. Nigeria’s representatives, Thinkbikes which won the National competition in August 2021 and qualified from the African finals held in Mozambique in September 2021 also made it to the last 16.
